SPECIAL WORKSHOPS TO COINCIDE WITH THE GALLERY GARDEN EXHIBITION

Gallery Garden Creations with Bethany Walker & Stevie Davies
There are four sessions to choose from. On either Saturday 12th OR Saturday 26th January 2013
AM OR PM sessions, on either day - £10 per person (materials included).

Join artists, Bethany and Stevie, for two intertwined mixed media workshops and experience techniques and processes used to create the “Gallery Garden” exhibition.

Work with both artists to create your own piece to add to a ‘Community Garden’, which will form part of the show. You will have the chance to create a few pieces and then select one to place in the community garden where it will remain for the duration of the show. These pieces can be collected when the exhibition closes.

First, enjoy an hour with Bethany Walker, Mixed Media Textile Artist. Here you will work to create your own ‘garden features’ by manipulating materials using various textile techniques. These creations will be placed in moulds along with other inspirational objects; Bethany will then take your creation to encase in cement.

While your concrete piece is setting, visit Stevie, Contemporary Glass Artist, specialising in fused glass and wire work, produce shaped flowers using sparkling glass elements and colourful wire. Manipulation techniques such as wrapping, bashing and coiling will be used in this workshop.
Whether you add to the flower bed with Stevie or form a brick wall with Bethany, come along and be a part of Community Garden.
